David Wayne Guelfo, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at the age of 60.
Wayne graduated from Woodlawn High School and Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
He started his career with Johnson Controls Inc. in 1989 where he held various titles and levels of responsibility over the past 35+ years.
He had a love for LSU sports, fast food, muscle cars, particularly the 71 Chevelle SS 396, photography and music with some favorites being Judas Priest, Pink Floyd, Tool, and A Perfect Circle.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gary Cecil Guelfo and Lynn Zeringue Galtier.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kaye Elam Guelfo; his son, Anthony Michael Guelfo, his brother Michael Guelfo (Tammy), and sister Julie Guelfo Booth (Jeff).
Visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge, 930 North Blvd., on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 9:30 A.M. until Funeral Services begin at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory in the Garden of Magnolia.
In honor of Wayne’s love for LSU, we invite everyone to wear purple and gold to the service.
