A resident and native of Baton Rouge, he died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, after an extended illness. He was 51. Visiting at St. Lukes Episcopal Church, Pope Hall, Friday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. until religious service in the church at 10 a.m. Inurnment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his father, Marvin L. Blocker Jr. mother, Shirley B. Demler sister, Tracy Blocker and brother, Wes Blocker. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marvin L. Sr. and Edith Blocker and maternal grandparents, W.H. and Sena Behrnes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph Hospice.
