A retired engineer for Dow Chemical, he died at 6:50 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2008, at his home in Pensacola, Fla. He was 82, a native of Franklinton and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, July 26, from 9 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by his son, Darwin Frank Passman Jr. and Pete Kennedy, pastor. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his two daughters, Ann Passman Kellough and Melanie E. Passman; son, Darwin Frank Passman Jr. and wife Donna; sister, Freda Passman; brother, Carl Passman; five grandchildren, Amanda Passman Brown, Sarah, Hope, Samantha and Hannah Passman; and a great-grandchild, Samuel Luke Brown. Preceded in death by his son, Fredrick Lea Passman; and parents, Fred and Ernestine Passman. He was a member of Covenant Hospice 2001 North Palafox Street, Pensacola, Florida 32501.
