Darryl Amedee, 80, passed away July 18, 2020 at Ochsner Hospital in Morgan City, LA. He resided in Pierre Part and Baton Rouge, LA.
Darryl graduated in 1957 from Redemptorist High School, served in the U. S. Air Force, and was retired from Local 198 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He loved spending time fishing, dancing, socializing with his bayou buddies, and watching LSU and the Saints. He was also a long time member of the Big Eye Bass Club.
Darryl is survived by his two children; son John Amedee (Dawn) of Walker, LA and daughter Daralyn Boudreaux (Dale) of Ocean Springs, MS; partner Joyce Guidry of Pierre Part, LA; four grandchildren, Alexis, Addison, Chase and Evan; siblings, JoElla Foulks (Bobby) and Clarice Bercegeay (Johnny) both of Baton Rouge, LA and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ida (Dabadie) Amedee.
Pallbearers include Chase Boudreaux, Evan Boudreaux, Joel Bercegeay, Clay Cooper, Jason Sims, and Brian Nelson.
A public visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am with a service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
The funeral service will be live streamed at the time of the service at 11 am from Resthaven's website on Darryl Amedee's memorial page.
