Darla Sanders

Darla "Dinky" Sanders, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at Baton Rouge General.

Over the last 30 years, Darla dedicated her time, heart and effort to Parkview Baptist Church. She was also a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Darla gave to all those in need with a loving smile on her face.

Darla is survived by her daughter, Sharon Daigle and husband, Greg; seven grandchildren; sister, Johnnie Mae Durand and husband, Ralph; and numerous other family members.

Darla is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert Sanders, Sr.; son, Robert Sanders, Jr.; granddaughter, Reagen Daigle; and parents, John and Clara Parker.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Parkview Baptist Church, 11795 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 11:00 AM until the time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Parkview Baptist Church.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Parkview Baptist Church.
