Danny Fruit

He attended Henderson County High School, LSU and was in the ROTC. He joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. After his discharge he made his career in thoroughbred horse racing. A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Henderson, Ky., he died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home in Denham Springs. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Henderson. Survived by his parents, William E. and Dee Dee Fruit; brother, William Casey Fruit; and aunt, Carol Estey.
