Daniel Ray Johnson, age 79, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, died on June 30, 2018. He was born in Cloutierville, Lousiana. He grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Fair Park High School, in Shreveport, and attended Louisiana State University.
Dan is survived by his wife, of 46 years, Frances Johnson, daughters Terri Gullo, and Erica Johnson, sons Patrick Johnson and Paul Johnson, brother Harold Johnson; sister Mary Anne Moore, grandchildren Clementine Johnson, Simon Johnson, Christy Devers, Jerry Pugh, Jr., Jason Pugh, great grandchildren Kyler Basinger, Brooke Buscemi, Madalynn Devers, Caleb Pugh; and great-great grandchild Eli Basinger.
He is predeceased by his son Steven Johnson, parents Clyde and Ruby Johnson, and his brothers J.C. Johnson, Jr. and Del Johnson.
Pallbearers are Patrick Johnson, Paul Johnson, Jensen Esneault, Barry Johnson, Larry Johnson, and Del Johnson, II. Honorary Pallbearers are: Clif Moore, Daniel Kirschner, Rory Anderson, and Jason Churchman.
Visitation will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, July 5th 2018 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am, Mass will follow. Interment will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home directly after mass, on Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge.
Dan was a lifelong supporter of St. Jude Children Hospital in Memphis, TN. Donations may be made in his name.
