In Loving Memory of Daniel Russell Goodfellow

Daniel Russell Goodfellow, a proud veteran of the United States Navy, devoted husband, and father passed away on December 5, 2023, surrounded by his family.  He was born September 9, 1946, in Wyandotte, Michigan, son of the late Russell Goodfellow and Irene Rose Goodfellow.

After earning his Bachelors, Dan pursued a career as an Electrical Engineer, making significant contributions to the field.  His intelligence, dedication, and meticulous attention to detail earned him the respect of his clients and colleagues.

Daniel is preceded in death by his son, Todd Goodfellow; parents, Russell and Irene Goodfellow; brother, Gary Goodfellow and sister, Nancy Milne.

He is survived by his wife , Margaret Jean Goodfellow; daughter Autumn Goodfellow-Thompson (Jay); granddaughter, Angel Goodfellow (Erin); great-granddaughter, Niree Harris and brother, Mark Goodfellow (Annette).

Dan was a proud fan of the New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers, and Detroit Lions.  He enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams and sharing these moments of excitement and intrigue with his family.

A graveside service to honor Daniel’s life will be held at the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, Louisiana on December 15, 2023, at 2:00 pm.
