Daniel John Dietrick Sr., 76, of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2022. Daniel was born in Chicago, IL to Edward and Margaret Dietrick on September 11th 1945. Daniel was a proud member of the University of Southern Mississippi Golf team where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. He worked as a CPA with Peat Marwick Mitchell before being hired on with Louisiana National Bank, beginning his lengthy banking career with Bank of New Roads and retiring from Regions Bank. His most beloved pastime was Golf where he could almost always be found on the Golf course each weekend. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Edward and his sister-in-law, Kathleen. Daniel is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce; his daughters, Mary (Jason) and Elizabeth; his sons, Daniel Jr. (Rebecca) and Joseph; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jolie, Britney, Sierra, Annabell, and Daniel, III; brother, Jerry; sisters, Margaret (Dale); sister-in-law, Cecelia; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Saturday August 27, 2022, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 15615 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70817 at 12:30pm until Mass at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the Most Blessed Sacrament Building Fund.
