Daniel Bogan

Daniel C. Bogan Sr. 60, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at home surrounded by family & friends on Thursday, March 11th, 2021.

Born May 15, 1960 in Kenner, La, Dan lived in Metairie, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, La as well as New Providence, NJ. He graduated from New Providence High School where he “lettered” and was the captain of the golf team. Dan graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge with a BS in Business in 1987. He worked as a District and Facilities manager for Miller Properties & IHOP, where he received numerous sales and services awards. Dan also owned and operated a retail golf store, Golf Etc., in Baton Rouge for 10 years where he gave golf lessons as a member of the USGTF. He was a member of St. George Church and a supporter of various community organizations.

Dan is survived by his loving wife Jan of 33 years, Julia Nesbit Bogan, his son, Daniel Charles Bogan Jr., his daughter, Laura Kathleen Bogan, two brothers, Walter Ross Bogan Jr. and Scott Alan Bogan, one sister, Carol Bogan Crain, and his mother and father, Walter Ross Bogan Sr. and Barbara Facundus Bogan.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home on March 20, 2021 from 12:30-2:30pm until a Celebration of Life service at 2:30pm.
