Cindy Manning Williamson, 71. God called her home on January 31, 2022. She passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She died from a courageous fight with multiple myeloma cancer since 2018.
She was born May 4, 1950 in New Orleans and graduated from John F Kennedy High School in 1968. She has lived in Baton Rouge for the past 44 years. Graduated from LSU in 1972 and retired after 37 years of service with LA Department of Social Services. Blessed with a loving family of unique individuals each bringing their unique personality and joy into each other’s lives. Cindy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to Mackenzie and Felicity. She enjoyed her plants, flower beds, doing crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and most of all, never missing an episode of HGTV series Home Town.
Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John Williamson; daughter, Lindsey Williamson; brothers, Daryl (Beth) Manning, Steven (Diane) Manning; sister, Geri Manning DDS and most of all her mother Geraldine (Gerry) Manning, who proudly admits to 101 years old. Seven truly remarkable nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Keith Manning.
Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 12:30 PM until memorial service at 2:30 PM. Burial will be at a later date.
Her favorite faithful charity was St Jude and she would appreciate any donations be sent to that charity hospital in Memphis.
