Curtis Crosby

Curtis Olen Crosby, a lifelong Louisiana resident, passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 64, following a brief battle with cancer.

 Curtis was born September 4, 1960, in New Orleans, Louisiana and spent his childhood in DeRidder, Louisiana. He is survived by April Allen Crosby, his wife of 30 years. He is also survived by daughter, Hannah Alexis Crosby Duffy (Patrick) and by his son Jackson Cooper Crosby, all of Baton Rouge. Curtis has one grandson, William Duffy and was eagerly awaiting the birth of a second grandchild. 

 Curtis and April made their home in Baton Rouge. Curtis loved being outdoors, fishing, and on any fall weekend could be found cheering on his beloved LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints.

Curtis will be remembered as an excellent athlete, a generous friend, a loving family man with a ready smile, and a teasing companion to his mother-in-law Karen Allen. 

 Curtis is also survived by his sister Rebecca Lynn Crosby Kron (Donnie) of Fredericksburg, TX and his brothers Richard Cooper Crosby, Jr. of Pensacola, Florida, and James Howell Crosby (Kirkland) of Baton Rouge. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dorothy Edna Roberts Crosby, and Richard Cooper Crosby, Sr., and by his sister, Catherine Roberts Crosby Cronce.

 The family wishes to thank in particular, Dr. Cody Milliman, and the staff at Baton Rouge General Hospital.

 Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3552 Morning Glory Ave. in Baton Rouge, with visitation at 9 AM and memorial service immediately following at 11 AM.
