Courtney Edwards

Courtney Michelle Edwards arrived in this world on Jan. 26, 1984, and unexpectedly and sadly left this life on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, as the result of an automobile accident. Courtney had a great big heart and loved her family and friends so dearly. She loved to entertain and make people laugh. Courtney left behind two precious sons, Marcus Journey Edwards and Gabriel Julian Edward; her mom, Donna Ward, and stepdad, Jim Ward; her brothers and sisters, Amber Edwards and Hannah Ward, Denham Springs, Melanie Couture and husband Cliff, Carville, Nicole Gim and husband Bryan, California, Ethan Edwards and James Ward, Denham Springs, and Johnathan Ward and wife Kristin, Washington; two nieces, Madison and Ava; three nephews, Brennon, Gage and Kensington; paternal grandmother, Mary Mae Mae Edwards; maternal grandparents, Emanuel and Betty Penalber; uncles, Jeff and Clint Penalber, and Keith McKinney; aunts, Tonya McKinney and Laura Penalber; and numerous cousins. Preceding Courtney's untimely death were her dad, Marcus Mark Edwards; uncle, Mike Edwards; grandfather, Morris Edwards; great-grandfathers, Owen Spearman, Bush Penalber and Eugene St. Cyr; and great-grandmothers, Ann Annie Spearman, Ettie Vie Penalber and Corrine St. Cyr. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. until service at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
