Cornelia Gilmer

Cornelia "Corky" Gilmer, age 69, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on May 17, 2016, surrounded by her sons.

Corky was a very resilient mother, wife, and friend whom has overcome many challenges in the last few years. She is remembered as someone who loved to travel, an adventurer, who put her family first.

Corky is survived by her sons, Jim Gilmer, Jr. and wife, Terri, Robert Tateman Gilmer, and Jerry Gilmer; her adopted sons, Dan Magee and Guillermo Pacheco; as well as numerous other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Gilmer, Sr.; her parents, Bob and Mozelle Kulp; her sister, Florence Anne Kulp; and her brother, Robert Arthur Kulp, Jr.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 10:00 AM until services at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place following the service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
