Cong Vu

Cong Quoc Vu, cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on Sunday December 29, 2024, at the age of 86. Cong was born on June 28, 1938, in Nam Dinh, Vietnam, son of the late Ly Dinh Vu and Ket Vu.

Cong lived a life full of purpose and service. He served as a Captain in the Vietnamese Navy and later pursued his passion for engineering, earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He spent many fulfilling years working as an Electrical Engineer, utilizing his skills to contribute to the community he loved.

A devout member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cong found joy and solace in his faith. He had a rich love for reading, writing poetry, listening to classical music, and was an avid soccer fan. His artistic soul and zest for life inspired everyone around him.

Cong is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Xuan Vu; his daughter Quynh Vu; sons Jacob Van Hai, Phong Vu, and Joseph Vu; sisters Houng Vu and Chi Vu; brothers Tuan Vu, Thang Vu, Quyen Vu, Hoang Vu, Chinh Vu, and Than Vu; and grandchildren Pascal, Milo, Anna, Kaitlyn, Henry, and Alyssa.

The family would like to invite everyone who knew and loved Cong Quon Vu to join them as we commemorate his life. A funeral service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 11:00 am.
