Clovis Legleu, Iii

June 21, 1938 — November 11, 2010

Pete Legleu, 72, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters after a long and courageous battle with duodenal cancer. He was a native of Baton Rouge and graduated from Baton Rouge High School and LSU. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Saturday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. until service at noon, conducted by Ann Merrick. It was his wish to be cremated after the service. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Legleu four daughters, Tani Legleu, Mona Fabre, Julie Reasoner and husband James Reasoner, and Nina Legleu and fianc Jason Mcintyre two grandsons, Aaron Meyer and Stephen Meyer and granddaughter, Katelyn Fabre. He is also survived by three brothers, Kenneth Legleu, Jack Legleu and Stanley Legleu three sisters, Lois Sibley, Ruby West and Connie Silvio and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Clovis Legleu Jr. and Sophie Legleu and two sisters, Ruth Brogan and Betty Legleu. A chemical engineer, he was a member of ASChE and retired from Salmon Associates, where he worked for Shell Chemicals. He loved LSU and Saints football, astronomy, music, his dogs, taking pictures at and hosting family gettogethers and working in his yard. He had performed extensive research on the family genealogy. The family wishes to thank his oncologist, Dr. Stringfellow and her staff, and also the staff of St. Joseph Hospice and his nurse, Penny, for their loving care and assistance.
