Cliff Jackson

February 23, 1936 — April 24, 2016

It is with great sadness and heavy heart that we announce the passing of Cliff Jackson in Baton Rouge, LA, on April 24, 2016. Cliff was a great man that enjoyed life to the fullest and was taken from us suddenly by a catastrophic stroke. He will live on in the hearts of his wife, sons, grandchildren, and many others who loved him. He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, the former Betty Allen Warren.

Cliff was born in Dunn, North Carolina to Roy and Ludie Jackson on February 23, 1936. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and began his career as a retail manager with Sears Roebuck followed by a rewarding second career as a financial advisor. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Country Club of Louisiana having shot at least three holes-in-one during his membership. Cliff was also a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church.

Cliff is preceded in death by his sisters Willow Dean Myers and Rosalie Smith. He is survived by his wife Betty, his two sons, their wives, and five grandchildren: Allen and Felicia Jackson, of Marietta, GA, and his three daughters, Allison, Emily, and Molly. Scott and Valerie Jackson, of Raleigh, NC, and their two children, Amelia and Luke. He is also survived by his three brothers, Wayne Jackson of Dunn, NC, Lynwood Jackson of Dunn, NC, and Gary Jackson of Selma, NC, as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Cliff at Resthaven Funeral Home, Baton Rouge, LA, on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 4-7pm. Visitation for family will be held at Mt.
