Cleo Calmes

A retired Agency Vice President for Security Industrial Insurance Company, he passed away at the Louisiana War Veteran Home in Jackson, Louisiana on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 4pm. He was 84 years old, a native of Independence a resident of Baton Rouge and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge on Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 11am until service at 1:30pm, conducted by Deacon Brent Duplessis. Entombment will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. Survived by his two sons and daughterinlaw, Larry A. Calmes and Robert E. and Dianne Calmes four grandchildren, Jason Calmes, Kevin Calmes, Kathryn Calmes and Allen Calmes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Marie Cappe Calmes.
