Clay Parent, Jr.

Clay J. Parent, Jr., known as C.J., a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at the age of 90 on December 20th, 2016. He was a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Never was there a more steadfast and diligent worker and breadwinner. He proudly served his country in WWII as a signalman in the U.S. Navy.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura K. Parent. They were married 53 years at the time of her passing in 2003.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Gardens on Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Friday, December 23, 2016, from 12:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

He is survived by a son, Blakely J. Parent, and daughter, Kitty Parent. C.J. had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a big family and will truly be missed.
