A retired Louisiana Division of Administration employee and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Monday, July 5, 2010. She was 88, a Navy veteran of World War II and a native of Alexandria. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, July 9, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at St. Pius X Catholic Church Saturday, July 10, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Alec Shelton. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by two daughters, Diana and husband Jerry Penton, and Darlene Bush granddaughter, Desire Marshall and her daughter, Devyn Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, James M. Bush Jr. a son, James M. Bush III a daughter, Sharon G. Bush two brothers and a sister. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, the Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Women Veterans of Louisiana.
