Clara Westbrook

Clara Edith Fontenot Westbrook, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 13, 2013. She went to sleep and woke up in Heaven. She is rejoicing with Jesus now and experiencing a joy we can only imagine. She has been a resident of Baton Rouge since 1964. She leaves behind her loving husband, James A. Boots Westbrook. They were married on Valentines Day in 1948, 65 years ago. She is also survived by two daughters, Lynn Champagne of Baton Rouge, and Cheryle King and husband John of Walker one son, Dennis Westbrook and wife Linda of Baton Rouge grandchildren, David Barham and wife Stephanie of Little Rock, AR, Jason Barham of Gatlinburg, TN, and DLynn Barham of Houston, TX, Jamey Westbrook and wife Cookie of Watson, Wyndi Guillory and husband Mike of Baton Rouge, Melissa Marter and husband Clifton, John III, Michael and Morgan King all of Walker twelve greatgrandchildren, Hunter, Garrett, Bailey Lynn, and Jacob Barham of Little Rock, AR, Julian, Katharine, and Adelynn Rubio of Houston, TX, Jordan and Lucy Westbrook of Watson, Sarah and Maegan Guillory of Baton Rouge, and Victoria Claire Marter of Walker one greatgreatgrandson, Cade Guillory of Baton Rouge one brother, John Fontenot of Lafayette and one sister, Ethel Hoop of San Antonio. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Jean Aldus and Hattie Fontenot brothers, Woodrow MIA, Russell, and Ralph sisters, Mervel Stewart and Nova Fruge and nieces and nephews, Cathy Fruge, Kay Weber, Michael and Chris Stewart, and Don Westbrook. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 5 pm until 8 pm and will continue on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 8 am until funeral service at 10 am celebrated by Pastor Mike McMullen. Interment to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be David and Jason Barham, John and Michael King, Mike Guillory, and Jamey Westbrook.
