Clara Agnes Jenkins Danenhower, age 89 a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017. Clara Agnes Jenkins Danenhower was born to Rusaw and Agnes Jenkins at their home on Lee Road in Covington, September 16, 1927. She was the 5th of 6 children. She was retired from the State Department of Education. She attended Jefferson Baptist and attended every Living Christmas Tree show presented. She was famous for her Red Velvet cake. Clara was married to the love of her life Joseph Danenhower, who she buried too early in 1967. She never remarried. She is survived by her daughters, Joann Goldsmith (Wayne), Donna King, Susan Bass (David); five grandchild, Darren and Nicholas Jobe (Whitney), Chelsea King Smith(Steven), Rhiannon Westerlund (Cameron) and Jessica Goldsmith; her friend, Lana Klobucaric who took care of her as if she was her own grandmother; and nine great grandchildren, Mason, Reece, Avery, Emmie, Jeremiah, Brock, Carson, Chloe and Ibn; and her younger brother, Harold Jenkins. Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, on Wednesday July 19, 2017 from 9 am until Funeral Service at 11 am.
