Christopher James Toms, 45, was called home to be with the Lord on August 27, 2016, at his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was born on June 7, 1971 in Glasgow, Scotland, the son of Bert Toms and Annette Willis.
Chris graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1989. Chris was a Civil/Structural Designer at H&K Engineering.
Chris was preceded in death by his Grandparents; Herbert Henry and Margaret McGhee Toms, Alexander and Sarah Hay.
Chris is survived by his parents; Bert Toms and Annette Willis; his sisters, Michelle Toms Schroll and husband Scott, and Sharon Toms Ridenour and husband Bobby, Jr.; Nephews and Nieces, Trace Wilson, Caitlyn Ridenour, Bobby Ridenour, III., Scottie Schroll and wife Amber, Stephen Schroll and wife Lauren, Tyler Lemoine, Bailey Lemoine and Stuart Roark; Great niece and Nephew, Charlie Schroll and Caleb Schroll.
He will also be mourned by his Bonus Mom, Janet Stout Toms and bonus sisters; Laura Vigil Roark and husband Chad and Loretta Vigil Lemoine and husband Brett; along with his beloved family members in Scotland, Australia, California and Canada.
Chris was passionate about writing music, playing guitar and singing with his best buddies; watching football and soccer. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend. His amazing smile and infectious laugh will be forever missed.
Chris' ashes will be scattered in The Nevis River at the foot of Ben Nevis in Fort William, Scotland.
