Christopher Clifford

Christopher Sean Clifford, 31, of Baton Rouge, LA died Monday December 17, 2018 to an opioid overdose. Chris was born on April 22, 1987 to William Curtis Clifford, of Rumford, ME, and Mischelle Dawn Wright, of Helena, MT. Chris is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Earle R. Clifford.  Chris is survived by his father, William Curtis Clifford; step-mother, Catherine Clifford; paternal grandmother, Pauline C. Clifford; maternal grandfather, Donald Wright; sister, Crystal Frith; nephew, Remy Frith; uncle, Michael Clifford and his wife Sandy Murray; aunt, Pamela Wright and cousin, Nicholas.   Chris was an easy-going, funny child whose life was, unfortunately, altered by a nearly two decade-long battle with addiction.  Chris’ family will always remember him as sunny kid who never complained. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you discuss the devastating effects of drug addiction with the children in your life.  We also take this time to raise awareness to the lacking mental health and drug rehabilitation programs in the State of Louisiana. Please contact your local legislators to advocate for an increase of funding for additional mental health research and treatment. Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on December 20, 2018 from 12:00 pm until services at 2:00 pm.
