Chris was born in Corning NY – lived in Bluffton IN, Greenville OH and grew up in Cleveland TN, where he was a member of the Cleveland High School wrestling team. He has lived in Baton Rouge for 31 years. He was a commercial door technician working for both Southeastern Overhead Doors and Gulf States Overhead Doors.
A most kind, generous and fun loving man, Chris is survived by his beloved son, William Caleb Porter of Baton Rouge; parents Ed & Carol Battocchio, brothers Stephen (Sandy) & James (Rachel), five nieces and nephews (Will, Nic, Eric, Olivia & Cecilia) and his favorite aunt, Lou Haas.
Chris’ happiest moments were those he shared with his son Caleb – fishing trips, golfing together and hanging out at the Jersey Shore with “the cousins”.
