Gone but never forgotten, Gulliver “Chipper” Dawson III passed away peacefully on December 19 at the age of 69. He was a 1970 graduate of Broadmoor High School.
He had a lifelong career in the fiberglass piping industry. He owed his career successes to his mentor, Mr. Dick Lea (Mrs. Anna). Chipper was a very kind man that loved football, baseball, family, and friends.
Chipper is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Cassie Hebert Dawson; his stepdaughter, Whitney Hebert; grandsons, Wesley Hebert and Michael Hebert; his lifelong, dear friend, Jack Snee (Jean).
He is also survived by his caring, sister, Suzan Fontenelle (Gary); nephews, Patrick and Glen; mother, Johnnie Dawson; and daughter, Kimberly. He was preceded in death by his father, Gulliver Wintworth Dawson Jr.
Pallbearers will be Jack Snee, Wesley Hebert, Michael Hebert, Mark Fox, Gary Fontenelle, and Rick Lea.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
