Cheryl Beam

Cheryl Beam, 59, of Prairieville, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Cheryl was born on December 29, 1953 in Bossier City, Louisiana. She married Fred E. Beam, Jr. in Bossier City, Louisiana on July 21, 1972. Family came first for Cheryl, whose love was passionate and enduring. She was completely devoted to her husband, her sons, Fred Jason Beam and Michael Joshua Beam, and her beloved grandson Jackson Wyatt Beam. Her family and many friends were blessed by her honesty, courage, and strength. Cheryl was an ardent LSU fan. Tailgating for football and baseball was her favorite recreation. She also loved to cook. She served as a legal secretary for many years, until cancer forced her retirement. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and by her admired fatherinlaw Fred Beam, Sr. She is survived by her husband Fred Beam, Jr. her sons Jason and Josh Beam her grandson Jackson Beam her sisters Patricia Romero Eckels and husband Robbert William Bill, Terry Romero Corkhill and husband Timothy and Lori Romero Stiles and husband Michael motherinlaw Betty Beam brotherinlaw Mike Beam sisterinlaw Patricia Dyer and husband Bob best friend Brandy Songne and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 10 am until memorial service at 2 pm.
