Cherie LeGrange McCormick, age 59, a resident of Denham Springs, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015.
She was a galley cook on a tug boat, where the crew greatly enjoyed and appreciated her hard work. Cherie also found a passion in helping special needs children. She was someone who never met a stranger.
Cherie is survived by her sons, Eric R. McCormick and wife Andrea, and Mark "Shane" McCormick and wife Kelly; grandchildren, Madison McCormick, Samuel McCormick, and Gabriel McCormick; sisters, Cynthia "Cindy" Jones and husband Richard and Milda Champagne and husband Steve; and brothers, Clifford "Chachie" LeGrange and wife Diane, Carey LeGrange and wife Kay, Clinton LeGrange and wife Wanda, Carlton LeGrange and wife Brenda, Chad "Charlie" LeGrange and wife Kellie and Patrick Eppinett.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Joy LeGrange; sister, Infant Candy Marie LeGrange; and brother, Curtis Russell "Rucky" LeGrange.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume on Monday, August 31, 2015, from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home at 11:00 AM.
Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
