Charlotte Cannon Hollier, 70, a native and resident of Baton Rouge entered eternal life with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Charlotte was a loving wife, devoted mother, loyal sister, aunt and friend with a big heart and kind soul who made everyone welcomed in her home. She is a 1963 graduate of St. Anthony High School and cherished her friendship with all of her SAH classmates. She attended Baton Rouge Draughan Business College. She was an office manager for Frank Fasullo and Peek Howe Real Estate. Charlotte had a green thumb spending time on her patio enjoying all of her potted plants. She loved all of nature, animals and especially her pups. She was an avid LSU sports fan.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 47 years, David A. Hollier, her son, Dr. Jason C. Hollier of Mandeville, two sisters, Judy and Theresa Cannon of Baton Rouge; brother, Dr. David L. Cannon and wife, Gale, of Alexandria, Mn.; Stepdaughter, Robin Black and husband, Rodney of Bonaire, Ga. Nephews, Allen R. Cannon and wife Pam, of Byhalia, Ms., and Eric W. Cannon and wife Marilyn of Houston, Texas; sisters-in-law, Sharon Hollier of Woodville, Ms. and Barbara Hollier of Glenmora, La.; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Essie Cannon and sister-in-law, Cheryl H. Cannon.
She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. from 5pm to 8pm, Thursday, May 26th, with reciting of the Rosary by her classmates. Visitation will continue at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Friday, May 27th at 9:30am prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Mark Moran, Eric Cannon, Spike Hollier, Brett Hollier, James Adams and Rodney Black. Honorary Pallbearer is Allen Cannon. Special thanks to all family, friends and Hospice of Baton Rouge for their love and support shown to Charlotte through her illness. Donations may be made to Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
