Charles Everett Villarreal passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 3:44 P.M. He was born July 12, 1920. He is survived by his wife of seventyone years, Mildred Beauchamp Villarreal, his brother Edward Lee Villarreal and his wife Betty, of Lafayette, LA, his daughter Carolyn Darden and husband Henry, of Centreville, MS, and his son Cris Villarreal and his wife Susan, of Baton Rouge, LA. He is also survived by five grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Crispin Villarreal, his mother Edith May Peterson Villarreal, his sister, Christine Villarreal Laird and Louise Villarreal Fitzpatrick. Charles was a native of Jackson, LA, and grew up in Baton Rouge. He proudly served our country in the Army in France during World War II. He retired from Esso Research Labs after 40 years. Charles was an Elder in the Norwood Presbyterian Church, as well as a member of the Masonic Milford Lodge No.117. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM Friday, December 28, 2012, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, with the service to begin at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will be at The Masonic Cemetery in Clinton, LA immediately following. Pallbearers will be grandsons William Villarreal, Bryan Villarreal, Keith Kent, Scott McMickle, Adam McKey, and nephew Drew Villarreal. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Sullivan, William Braswell, Lewis Guidry, Rayborn Aslin, W. L. Switzer, and Early Turner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Norwood Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 214, Norwood, LA 70761, or to your favorite charity. A special thank you to the caring people of Hospice of Baton Rouge, especially Nettie and the people in the Butterfly Wing for their tender loving care.
