Charles Rounds

Charles "Rusty" E. Rounds, age 63, native of Baton Rouge, LA, and resident of Jarreau, LA, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016.

Rusty attended Bogalusa High School and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. He received his BS in Construction Management from LSU. He was an Estimating Manager at Performance Contractors, Inc. and was one of the former owners of Trade Construction Company.

Rusty is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patty; sons and daughters-in-law, Josh and Angela Rounds and Chad and Kristi Rounds. Four grandsons, Cade, Ashton, Hudson and Grant Rounds and his princess, Ava Rounds. He is also survived by two sisters, Sandy Lumpkin and husband Billy and Vicki Ballard.

Preceded in death by his parents Carroll and Ruth Rounds and best friend, C. G. Johnson.

Rusty was an avid hunter and LSU fan, loved boating and tubing with his grandchildren on False River and attending their many ball games.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Phillips, Weylin Guidry, Tony Distefano, grandson Cade Rounds and nephews, Charles and Jay Ballard.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 12:00 pm until services at 2:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled Veterans of America and/or the American Heart Association.
