Senior Chief Petty Officer Charles Charlie Regins Jr. was born Aug. 31, 1943, in West Point, N.Y., to Charles Regins Sr. and the late Martha Jackson Jones. Chief leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 18 years, Kathryn father, Charles Regins Sr. aunt, Maggie Burris former wife, Janice Regins, with whom he shared a son, Reginald Regins and wife Jenny, and daughter whom he reared, Stacy Myers three sisters, Sherry Williams and husband Geary, Barbara Taylor and husband Paul, and Patricia Jones four brothers, Ronald Regins, George Regins, William Jones and Cleveland Jones stepson, Trevis Fernandez five stepdaughters, LaJuan Cooper and husband Leroy, Rochelle Fernandez, Shirelle Fernandez, Bianca Phillips and husband Isaac, and Yakima Fernandez 17 grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren, godchild, Takara Joseph good friend, Sgt. Raymond Collins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Preceded in death by his mother, Martha Jackson Jones two sisters, Rose Regins and Kim Covington and two brothers, Jack Regins and James Regins. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. until memorial service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Minister Christopher D. Ester. Military Honors will be conducted by the U.S. Navy.
