Charles Myers

A salesman for Lions Specialty Co., he died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 88 and a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Visiting at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 9:30 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jerry Martin. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Rita Bordes Myers; daughter, Margo Abadie Gerald and husband Michael; son, Kurt Myers and wife Melissa; two grandchildren, Amanda Lee Namie and fianc Ryan Juno, and Myers Patrick Namie and wife Shauna; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew Myers Namie and Patrick Daniel Namie. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Margaret Gallaher. He was an artist and loved to play bridge and chess.
