Charles Malmberg

Charles (“Butch”) Donald Malmberg, 90, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away peacefully November 12, 2021. He was born on November 8, 1931, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Albin Malmberg and late Elsie (Windblad) Malmberg.

Loving father of Christine (Edward) Watson of Baton Rouge, LA; dear grandfather of Alexander (Hailey) Watson, Kayla Watson, and Nicholas Watson; stepfather of Rebecca (Paul Jr.) Steinmiller of Pittsburgh, PA.

Preceded in death by his wife Norma Malmberg; siblings Viola Huen, Kenneth Malmberg, Ethel Smith, Doris Sabol, Mabel Moskowski, Robert Malmberg and Myrtle Malmberg.

Charles served in the Army in the Korean War and retired from LTV Steel. Before moving to Baton Rouge, he was a resident of Wilmington, NC. He loved to golf, sing in the church choir, watch the Pittsburgh Steelers, and spend time with his family.

The family would like to thank all the staff at The Pearl at Jamestown and Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge for their loving care and compassion.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816 on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 10:00 am until memorial services at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge.
