Charla K. Ash passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the age of 67. She was born May 2, 1956, in St. James, Missouri to Raymond E "Gene" Lewis and Norma Ruth Bagwell Lewis.
Charla was a woman of strong faith. She attended Healing Place Church (HPC) for many years. While there, she volunteered with the missions ministry, Cooking For Christ, and was passionate about the homeless outreach based out of the North Baton Rouge Dream Center. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and traveling to Asheville, North Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Gene and Norma Lewis; her former spouse: Leroy R. Ash, and her beloved Aunt Gracie.
Charla is survived by one son: Justin Ash of Prairieville, LA; two daughters: Krista Jordan and husband Sean of Maurepas, LA; Mandi Mathews and husband Ryan of Indianapolis, IN, and her six grandchildren Kaleb Ash, Kiley and Lillian Jordan, and Ashlynn, Oaklee, and Isaiah Mathews. She is also survived by her brother: Randall Lewis of Cuba, MO, and sister: Lana Lewis Marcotte of Russellville, AR.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
