Cecilia LeBlanc Day-Cappo

Cecilia L. Day-Cappo, a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023, surrounded by her devoted family. She was 93 years old and a native of Sunshine, Louisiana.

Cecilia dedicated her life to her family, raising 3 children and a stepson. She loved cooking, gardening, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Cecilia is survived by her daughter Judy Dianne Day-Roberts (Joseph); her sons Randy Day (Mona), Dominic Charles Cappo, Jr. (Lori), Craig “Satch” Cappo (Paula); and her sister Carol Ann-LeBlanc-Kinchen. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Stacy Roberts-Robin, Christopher Roberts, Joshua Roberts, Allison Day-Menard, Jordan Day-Worley, Crystal Cappo-Bray, Chelsea Cappo-Movern, Sam Cappo, Dr. Rachel Scott, and Claudia Cecile Cappo; great-grandchildren Morgan Robin-Higdon, Alexandra Robin-Dickson, Hayden Robin-Christopher, Sydney Claire Robin, Carter Roberts, Cason Roberts, Riley Menard, Sadie Menard, Lukas Worley, Addyson Bray, Dylan Bray, Bryant Movern, Masyn Movern, Brantley Babin, and Brailey Babin; and great-great-grandchildren Charlotte, Jackson, Duke, and Connor Claire.

Cecilia is preceded in death by her parents, Jules E. Leblanc and Lena Acaldo-Leblanc; her first husband of nine years, Willie Donahue Day, Jr. and her second husband of 45 years, Dominic Charles Cappo, Sr.; her sisters Juanita Gomez, Shirley Burkett-Rabalais, and Dolores Thompson; and her brothers Joseph LeBlanc, Paul Leblanc, Theodore LeBlanc, Donald LeBlanc, and Charles LeBlanc.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Baton Rouge for their loving care of Cecilia and her family, especially her nurse Sally.
