Cecil C. Ranzino, Sr. (Pops), age 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Nov. 9, 2016. He was a resident of Baton Rouge, and previously lived in Port Allen, LA and Hendersonville, NC. He was a retired employee of Dow Chemical, a US Navy Veteran of WWII serving on the USS Maryland, and a longtime volunteer fireman for the Port Allen community while a resident there. In addition, he was a former "Morning Manager" for Coffee Call in Baton Rouge.
Cecil was a loving husband, father (5), grandfather (8), and great-grandfather (12). He is survived by his wife, Brendan B. Ranzino, sons; Cecil C. Ranzino, Jr. (Julie) of Mandeville, Thomas J. Ranzino (Cacky) of Baton Rouge, Peter Ranzino (Zoe) of Baton Rouge; daughters, Mikelyn Misenheimer (Dan) of Tampa, FL, and Celeste McCraine (Mac) of Jasper, Arkansas. He is also survived by one brother, Tom Ranzino (Pat) of Baton Rouge.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Mae Goudeau Ranzino of Erwinville/Port Allen; his second wife Jean Andrews Ranzino of Hendersonville, NC.; his parents, Cecile and Thomas Ranzino of Baton Rouge; and his sister, Sr. Mary Thomas Ranzino, OP. He was a parishioner Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, and leaves a legacy of love with all of his family and friends. His laughter and kindnesses will be a cherished memory for all.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Nov. 15th at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church from 9:00- 10:30AM, with a Mass at 10:30. Interment is a private ceremony for family only.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, the Wounded Warriors, or Shriner's Children Hospital.
