Clement Berthold (C. B.) Roy, Jr. passed on the morning of September 3, 2021, in St. Francisville, Louisiana. He was born June 30, 1938 in Opelousas, Louisiana, to Clement Berthold (Bert) Roy, Sr. and Sally Louise Decker Roy.
C. B. was married for 56 years to his loving wife, Carolyn, who predeceased him just last year. They are survived by one son, Russell Dale (Russ) Roy, who will forever cherish their memory. C. B. also adored his grand-dog, Lucky.
He served in the United States Air Force as a Military Police, with most of his time served in France. After an honorable discharge from the military, he worked for the Baton Rouge Fire Department for 25 years and retired as District Chief. Upon his retirement, he and Carolyn lived in Magnolia, Mississippi, and he was currently residing in Summit, Mississippi.
C. B. is also survived by his brother, Paul Roy (Paul J.), and sisters, Amanda Short (Harry) and Theresa Stevens (Randy); nephews, Kevin Short (Lisa), Bryan Chemin (Tracie) and Brandon Johnson (Brittany); and niece, Laura Barker (Ben). His memory will also be etched in the thoughts of his great-nephews and great-nieces.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, September 9 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Rev. Daniel Hixon, St. Francisville United Methodist Church, and Rev. Mike Clark, Tunica United Methodist Church, will conduct the funeral and graveside services at 3:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Russ Roy, Harry Short, Randy Stevens, Bryan Chemin, Brandon Johnson and Chris Roy.
