Cathy Garner

Cathy Garner, a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2015. She was born July 22, 1954 in Henderson, KY where she resided until her family moved to Baton Rouge in 1967.

She had a long term career with Jacobs engineering, where she gained a huge circle of friends, who knew and loved her humor and wit.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed.

Cathy is survived by her longtime companion, Les Hudson; her daughters, Nikki Davis and husband, Jalyn Davis, Sr., Kristen Erin Booksh, and Ashley David; her grandchildren, Lindsey Martin, Jordan Davis, Jalyn Davis, Jr., Taryn Davis, Ashton David, Madison Doucet, Lawson Doucet, and Dakota Halford; and her brothers, Mike and wife, Patti Garner, Terry Garner, and Harold F. Garner and wife, Gayla Garner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold F. Garner, Sr. and Vera L. Garner.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM with memorial service beginning at 6:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
