Catherine Blanchard Henson Clark "Sis", age 79, a resident of Maurepas, LA, and native of Plaquemine, LA, passed away on May 18, 2017.
She was a loving wife, mother and great-grandmother. Catherine was well-known in the catering business in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas for over 34 years. She was a graduate from Redemptorist High School class of 1956.
Survived by her husband, Glen M. Clark Jr. "Doc" of 20 years; brothers, Donald Blanchard and Gary Blanchard (Linda); children, Barry M. Carpenter, Glen Clark III (Mai) and Bridgette Clark Lowe (Bill); grandchildren, Colleen Carpenter Brouillet, Kaleb Glen Clark (Amber), Leigh Carpenter (Toby), Brandon Orillion, Victoria Orillion and Suzannah Clark; great-grandchildren, Scarlet Richard, Harper R. Clark, Jayla and Bowen; daughter-in-law, Tina Cantrello (Rocky); sister-in-law, Evelyn Nodine (John); next-door-neighbor, Saul Duhon, whom she grew to love like a son.
Preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Blanchard and wife, Genevieve Daigle; brother, Robert Blanchard; sister, Carolyn B. Blanchard; and nephew, Trevor Blanchard.
Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 12:00 PM until funeral services at 2pm. Burial will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
Pallbearers are Barry N. Carpenter, Kaleb Glen Clark, Brad Blanchard, Kyle Blanchard, Rette Blanchard and Lance Blanchard.
In lieu of flowers, Catherine requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Butterfly Wing at Baton Rouge General.
