Carolyn Ann Robertson “Cookie” was known as a wonderful woman of love, generosity, values and vision. Carolyn peacefully passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the age of 61. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was born on June 4, 1957 in New Orleans Louisiana. Carolyn was born to the union of Leonard Franklin and Leona Tanner of Lebeau, La. She was a graduate of the class of ‘75 from Redemptorist High where she was loved by many and devoted her time to all school activities. She loved people and they loved her. In 1981 she married the love of her life James Robertson Sr. Carolyn was a devoted and dedicated employee with Ochsner Medical Center for the last 20 years.
She is survived by her father Leonard Franklin, husband James Robertson Sr., children Gerald Robertson (Shelly) Chicago, IL James Robertson Jr. (Terry Lynn) and Ashley Robertson (Jonthan) all of Baton Rouge, LA , two brothers Elray Motte (Barbara) Atlanta, GA Michael Franklin (Cathy), two sisters Marquette Franklin Lawrence (Eddie) and Karen Lee, one sister-in-law Gloria Carroll (Matthew) all from Baton Rouge, LA and one brother-in-law Robert Anderson of Mississippi. Carolyn has 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mom Leona Franklin and her son Robert Robertson.
Visitation will be at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 3912 Gus Young Ave, Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 9:00 am until Mass at 11:00 am. There will be a Rosary from 10:15-10:30.
