Carole was born in Denham Springs on October 4, 1947. She attended Doyle High School and LSU. She is a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. Carole deeply loved her family, friends, fashion, décor and travel. She also loved chandeliers, shoes and hats. She once took down all of her ceiling fans and replaced them with chandeliers while Paul was playing golf. He was not amused. Her shoe collection was so massive that she was once the subject of an inRegister article titled, “If the shoe fits, Carole Fredrickson probably owns it.”
Carole took great pride in her philanthropy and her work, as fundraising and fashion were her flair. In addition to her involvement with the Baton Rouge Cancer Society and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Carole served as a longtime chairwoman of the Baton Rouge Symphony League’s Mad Hatters Fashion Show and Luncheon. She was also a top salesperson for W by Worth clothing.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge or the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. Carole’s family would like to thank Drs. Daniel LaVie, Charles Wood and their staff members for their care, along with longtime family friend Father Frank Uter.
