Carol Strickland

Carol “Joan” Strickland, 94, a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away June 7, 2021. She retired from K-Mart and was an avid reader who raised six children.

She is survived by her children, Lynnda Pourciau, Mike Strickland, David Strickland (Pat), Dennis Strickland (Barbara), and Lisa McCarter (Mark); extra child, Debbie James (Kenny); 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and many, many nieces and nephews who have been a blessing all these years.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Callahan; son, Jerry Strickland; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Strickland; grandson, Shaun Moore, and granddaughter, Dionne Vessier.

A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 10 am.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Jonathan Strickland, Cade Strickland, Damon Scallan, Dustin Strickland, Caleb McCarter, and Austin James.
