Carol Kay Harvey Rodgers

Carol Kay Harvey Rodgers, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Baker, LA, passed away at her home on Monday, July 15, 2024, at the age of 77. 

Carol pursued her education at Louisiana College and Southeastern College, shaping her career in the field of medical transcription. Her meticulous nature and caring demeanor made her a valued professional among colleagues and clients. She retired from Our Lady of the Lake after a long and successful career and was a proud member of the Louisiana Association of Medical Transcriptionists.

Outside of her work, Carol found joy in various hobbies and interests that brought color to her life. She shared her musical talents by playing the piano and organ at church services for many years. In moments of leisure, she cherished time spent fishing and engaging in friendly card games with friends and family. Notably, Carol had a special affinity for Boston Terriers and lovingly cared for many throughout her lifetime.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Roy F. Harvey and Doris Harvey; and former spouse, Woodrow Rodgers.

She is survived by her son, Allen Rodgers; and her beloved Boston Terrier, CinnaMan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 20, 2024, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
