Carol Leblanc

November 8, 1934 — May 19, 2009

Carol C.J. Joseph LeBlanc, a resident and native of Baton Rouge, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Sherwood Manor. He was 74 and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from Dow Chemical. Visiting at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Drive, on Friday, May 22, at 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Resurrection at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Mike Schatzle. Beloved husband of Dolores Burguieres LeBlanc; brother of a devoted sister, Betty Joyce Taylor; father of Mark LeBlanc, Gary LeBlanc and wife Stephanie, Anne LeBlanc Vicknair and friend Mike McMahon, Cindy McCurley Cangiolosi and husband Joseph, Sheryl McCurley Alleman and husband Lynn, Chip McCurley, Jill McCurley Brandt and husband Brian; grandfather of Joel Cangiolosi and friend Lacy, Michael Wells and wife Crystal, Stephanie McGraw, Chuck Cangiolosi and wife Apryl, Rachael LeBlanc Hauge and husband Dean Jason, Eric LeBlanc and wife Amanda, Lucas LeBlanc and friend Stacey, Heath LeBlanc and wife Alison, Beau Bergeron and friend Amber, Christopher Vicknair, Paige LeBlanc Edwards and husband Chris, Amanda Bergeron; Cristin McCurley, Whitney Brandt, Cari McCurley, Tyler Brandt and Jacob LeBlanc; and great-grandfather of Peyton Chidester, Donavon, Cameron, Brendon, Auston and Sierra Wells, Katelin Hauge, Cade McGraw, Camryn Cangiolosi and Gwendolyn and Olivia Durapau. He was preceded in death by his parents, Medric H. and Carrie Melancon LeBlanc; brother-in-law, Lanier Taylor; and daughters-in-law, Theresa LeBlanc and Lin LeBlanc. C.J. battled Parkinson's disease for more than 20 years. He is now at peace.
