A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Gulfport, Miss., he died at 7:20 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Ochsner Medical Center. He was 63. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 25, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by Ronald Lamb, pastor of Istrouma Baptist Church. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Roberta Wright Spradley; four daughters, Carla Spradley, Darla Spradley, Michelle Spradley and Lisa Smith and husband Robert; a sister, Ella Marie Hare; two brothers, Joe and John Spradley; a grandchild, Amber Spradley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Nellie Spradley; a brother, Thomas Spradley; two sisters, Martha Hodges and Leatha Arinder; and parents-in-law, E.M. and Kay Wright.
