Carl Neyland, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the age of 63. He was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Carl is survived by his three sons and daughtersinlaw, Jeff and Rachel Neyland, Jeremy and Jessica Neyland, and Jared Neyland five grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb, Grace, Emory, and Brock Neyland one sister and brotherinlaw, Pat and Wayne Minton three brothers and sistersinlaw, Denny and Pat Neyland, Jerry and Keetsie Neyland, and Wayne and Joan Neyland and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Phyllis R. Neyland and his parents, Carl Sr. and Eula B. Neyland. Carl enjoyed hunting and fishing but his biggest love was following his children and grandchildren in sports. He was a member of Knights of Columbus 6531, and a volunteer Firefighter for Brownfields Community in Baton Rouge, La. Carl loved to work at his camp in MS on his tractor and listen to Elvis. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 5 pm until 9 pm and will resume on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd, Greenwell Springs, from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, officiated by Rev. Mike Moroney. Pallbearers will be Denny, Wayne, Jerry, Jacob, and Caleb Neyland, and Stanley Davis. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
