Calvin Bryan

Calvin Roy Bryan, 84, of Baton Rouge died Sunday , October 12, 2014.

He was born to Henry Bryan and Mary Lizzie Hughs Bryan on November 24, 1929, in Columbus, Georgia. He worked into his early 70s in the retail industry in positions that included being a regional Vice President for Family Dollar Stores.

He is survived by a daughter, Amy Bryan Greco and her husband Frank son, Dennis Bryan and his beloved friend Teresa daughter in law, Pam Bryan brother, Don Bryan sister Doris Bryan Williford. Calvin is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and granddogs.

He is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 61 Years, Retha Tomlin Bryan son, Calvin Bruce Bryan brothers, David and James Bryan and sister Ann Bryan Johnson.

Visitation will be observed at Resthaven 11817 Jefferson Hwy on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 1pm until services at 2pm. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Calvin loved to sing and play the ukulele. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association of Baton Rouge or choice of a favorite charity.
