Bryan Leo King, age 55, who was a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on February 17, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Bryan was a 1977 graduate of Broadmoor High School. He recently retired after being employed for 30 years at a Utility Services Plant in the Geismar area. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.
Bryan is survived by his loving wife, of 27 years, Kathy Schneider King; his two sons, Riley Thomas and Colin Garrett; three brothers, Warren King, Will King and wife Susan, and Rodney King and wife Jan; one sister, Susie Newton and husband Ron; godchildren, Allison King and John Michael King; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Warren Leo King, Sr. and Aldea Zeringue King; and one sister, Pamela Ann King.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at St. John's United Methodist Church, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at 1:00 PM at St. John's United Methodist Church. Officiant will be Reverend Jay Hogewood, pastor of St. John's United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Justin King, Ryan King, Taylor King, John Michael King, Randy King and Terry Orillion.
Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church Building Fund. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bryan's sister, Susie Newton, for her care and support during his illness.
