Brien Guillory

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Brien Guillory. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Brien passed away at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet from respiratory failure on Saturday, February 22, 2014, a day after his 79th birthday. He was a graduate of Plaucheville High School, received his B.A. from ULL formerly SLI, and his Masters from LSU. Brien was a teacher at Baton Rouge High School, Vice President of United Co., and salesman for Interstate School Supply. After retirement, he loved living on the Tickfaw River. Brien enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and fourwheeler riding. He was a master at cooking BBQ chicken. Brien is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gayle Guillory daughter, Laurie Guillory Sagnibene and husband Frank son, David Brian Guilliry, brother, Roland Guillory and wife Pat and one grandchild, Emily Claire Sagnibene. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Drive, Baton Rouge, from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am on Thursday, February 27, 2014, celebrated by Father Frank Uter. Interment to follow at St. George Mausoleum. Pallbearers are David Guillory, Frank Sagnibene, Mark Guillory, Roland Guillory, Charlie Brown, and Sean Prados. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Markerson, Jim Caspar, and Joe Stevens. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Michael Connor, Dr. Stephanie El Hajj, the wonderful nursing staff in ICU at the Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet, and to Ms. Althea Wilkins.
